CULTURE
We believe that the Word of God shapes both the character and the environment of our church. This is what forms our culture. The culture values below are not just ideas — they shape the way we live, lead, and love. Rooted in Scripture and centred on Jesus, they are non-negotiable convictions that guide who we are as a church.
4 Cultural Pillars That We Uphold
-
We are a family of partners and co-labourers, not just members. While Scripture calls us “members” of one body (Romans 12:5), the modern meaning of membership often suggests passive involvement. But church isn’t a club you attend; it’s a mission you build. The New Testament word for fellowship, koinonia, is translated as partnership in Philippians 1:5. That’s why we speak of partnership – because true fellowship means shared ownership, mutual responsibility, and locking arms for the Gospel.
-
In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus commands us to “make disciples.” A disciple is more than a believer — they are a committed learner and follower of Jesus (John 8:31). That’s why our teaching is thorough, and our application intentional. We’re raising disciples who are doers of the Word (James 1:22–25), not just fans who watch from a distance.
-
Galatians 3:28 reminds us that we are “all one in Christ Jesus.” You don’t get to choose family, but you choose to love them, even through their flaws. As brothers and sisters in Christ, regardless of position or perspective, we commit to practicing biblical love (1 Corinthians 13) and pursuing harmony. In this house, our goal is simple: serve first.
-
In John 8:32, Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” God has communicated truth to us, and that truth brings freedom. In the same way, we believe honest, open communication is essential to creating a safe and fearless community. Say what needs to be said, just do it with honour. That’s the only rule.
We are a gospel-driven, Spirit-formed family of partners—not spectators. Everyone belongs, but no one stays the same. We keep Jesus first, we keep the Word central, and we keep building what heaven values. Partnership. Discipleship. Family. Communication. These aren’t just values — they’re how we follow Jesus together.
